My wife and I are about to complete on the purchase of a house in North Shields but as a consequence of wreckage from some water damage at the property I have was able negotiate reparation from the owner in the sum of £2k taking the form of a reduction in the price. I had intended this to be addressed as part of the conveyancing process yet TSB are not allowing this. Why were they involved?
Your property lawyer being on a TSB approved list is duty bound to inform TSB of any variations to the sale price. If you were to refuse your property lawyer to notify the reduction to TSB then they would have to discontinue acting for you. In addition, TSB and you would have to appoint a new conveyancer for your conveyancing in North Shields.
