The law firm confirmed to me that they are on Chesham Building Society conveyancing panel and provided me their panel number. Chesham Building Society then ,via my broker advised that their panel number was dormant and would need to be reactivated. What happens next? Do I instruct a different law firm listed on the approved panel for Chesham Building Society?

As solicitors, in order to be on the Chesham Building Society conveyancing panel they would need to be regulated by the SRA. Many lenders do allow licenced conveyancers on their panel in which case such firms would be regulated by the Council of Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).
I am selling my house. I had a double glazing fitted in month 2010 but did not receive a FENSA certificate or Building Regulation Certificate. Why do Chesham Building Society have a conveyancing panel of they don’t accept advice from them?
It is probably the case that Chesham Building Society have referred the matter to their valuer. The reason why Chesham Building Society may not want to accept indemnity insurance is because it does not give them any reassurance that the double glazing correctly and safely installed. It merely protects against enforcement action which is very unlikely anyway.
